Jamaica Kincaid’s “Girl” and “A Rose as being Emily,” written by William Faulkner are pair short fictional stories. By reading these sum of ~ units pieces of literature, the speaker’s language seemed to me very confusing, because of symbols, rhythm, and words, what one. authors are using to reach the hearing’s attention. In order to conceive the significance and the value of the stories I had to learned it more than once. My sense of the stories in general is that they acquire completely different plot structure, but they the two have the strong and deep force of how the characters interact.
“Girl” is the defective story about a relationship between the native and her daughter. The mother is the necessary speaker of the story, and she is education the young girl how to adopt a life and live respectably. The natural is telling a girl how to press a household, how to handle other vulgar herd, and how to love a hu~ being without becoming a “slut.” She wants her daughter to adopt the duties associated by being a female by given the damsel the instructions on proper social deportment. For example, she tells the miss: “don’t sing benna on Sundays at the whole of and never in Sunday school,” and “have ~ing sure to wash every day, level if it is with your admit spit,” and “try to walk like a wife” (Kincaid, 1984). I think that the weight of this story is how to get a good woman and the be unexhausted sentence definitely supports my idea “you coming between to say that after all you are in truth going to be the kind of woman who the baker won’t allow near the bread?” (Kincaid, 1984). From my purpose of view, the speaker is leaving us with this powerful question at the extremity in order to reveals a woman’s role.

me very confusing, because of symbols, rhythm, and words, that authors are using to reach the
