•Chapter 1- Grant was walking to the tribunal and lounge when two young black color men (Brother and Bear) drove up out of the way of him and asked if he wanted a ride, Grant took the present and got in the car. They asked Grant on the supposition that he had any money but he didn’t likewise when they got to the hindrance, Brother and Bear demanded Alcee (the storekeeper) to give them drinks on the house. Alcee refused that led to a shootout. Alcee, Brother, and Bear wholly ended up dead which left simply Jefferson. He stood confused and frightened such he drank whiskey to calm his nerves. He knew he needed to obtain away so when he seen the ready money register full of money he took the cash, knowing it was the wrong goods to do. While walking out, brace white men walked into the treasure up. The prosecution argued that Jefferson intended to pillage and kill Alcee, stuffed the standard of value in his pockets and drank to perform with due solemnities. His attorney defended him by pursuit him a boy and fool, incapable of planning a put to death and robbery. They would rather bring a hog in the electric chair than Jefferson. He was still lay the ~ation of guilty of robbery and 1st measure murder. Death by electrocution would subsist a few days later. •Chapter 2- Grant’s Aunt (Tante Lou) and Jefferson’s grandmother (Miss. Emma) want to talk to Grant near to the trial. Miss Emma does not deficiency Jefferson to die a hog with equal rea~n she is hoping Grant will walk with her to the prison to communicate Jefferson how to die with grandeur. Grant refuses angrily because he feels like he cannot transact anything to help Jefferson. Tante Lou reported they all must go talk to Mr. Henry Pichot, whose brother-in-law is the sheriff and he force let them see Jefferson. Grant is mad now and wants to scream and special his hate for the town excepting he knows they won’t give ear him. •Chapter 3- Tante Lou, Miss. Emma, and Grant arrive at the Pichot plantation, they enroll through the back door and acquaint the maid that they want to converse in to Mr. Pichot.
