There are three different levels of canon enforcement, local, state and federal. Each of that level does a wide variety of not the same things varying from taking people to the hospital to arresting terrorists. The earliest level I will talk about is limited policing.
Local policing and its duties contain law enforcement, order mainetence or peacekeeping, office of devotion, and information gathering. Some examples of principle enforcement include arresting perpetrators and investigating crimes. Order maintence embody intervening in domestic disputes before they become violent, “breaking up fights, and holding back crowds at sporting events (168).” Local police services comprise “taking people to hospitals, escorting burial rites processions, and chasing bats out of a caller’s put under cover (168).” Lastly, information gathering, which is investigating missing child cases and other details relative to ongoing investigations. While some larger topical police agencies take on more responsibilities and are if it be not that not limited to such: internet crimes, narcotics, arson/bomb squads, baby exploitation, and homeland security.
State law enforcement agencies otherwise known as the plight police and highway patrol have the same responsibilities at the same time that local law enforcement but can essentially drudge on cases and enforce the law anywhere in the state unlike the topical police who have certain jurisdictions. Although equable highway patrols can and will be intermediate on drug cases, for example on the supposition that a suspect is carrying drugs thwart state lines, or is about to.
