What is Hypnosis? 2000 words
Describe the psychological and psychical aspects of hypnosis and argue the role of relaxation in Hypnotherapy.
The vocable hypnosis derives from the word ‘Hypno’ a Greek expression. which means sleep.
Hypnosis is a quality of mind that every human actuality at some point in their life is before-mentioned to encounter, perhaps in their everyday life that they are not aware of; it is a catalepsy like state where the mind becomes relaxed and divergent levels of consciousness takes place.
Hypnosis can be summarized under various headings;
Absorption, a commonwealth or process of being absorbed,
Dissociation; behaviour’s that occurs through other thoughts. Apparently dissociation is the base of hypnosis, the hypnotized person is good to maintain control of certain thoughts and behaviour’s, time other thoughts are being influenced by the hypnotist. A modern day case in point Derren Brown.
James Braid a far-famed physician from the 19th century termed the class “hypnosis”; a trance like state, howsoever this gave the public the iniquity impression of what hypnosis was in the manner that they thought hypnosis was being dead whilst being hypnotized.
The differences between sleep and hypnosis are; whilst reality hypnotized the subject is aware of the hypnotist’s mood of voice, the incoming information they are providing and in what plight suggestible the subject is to following their instructions.
Whilst in repose the mind is absent of consciousness, what one. makes it harder for the subject to be open to suggestion.
Hypnosis has been at hand socially and culturally for many centuries and has been associated by mysterious phenomena, shamans, magicians, mystical activities, therapy, spiritual charge illness, entertainment, influencing politics and knowledge.
