Summary of the Study
This study attempts to regard as one the distinct stylistic features of the three contemporaneous Tamil scholars named Mahakavi Barathi (MB), V. Kalsanasundaram (VK) and Subramaniya Iyer (SI) through using their literary works. These three scholars wrote articles without interrupti~ India's Freedom Movement in the repository called India. Freedom Movement in the year 1906 are considered in quest of this quantitative stylistic study. The researchers, Mappillairaju Bagavandas and G. Manimannan, based their study put ~ the nineteen articles of Bharati, six articles of Kalyanasundram and seven articles of Subramaniya Iyer.
For this study, the researches considered eighteen stylistic features. They take in eleven morphological variables, four habitual accents and three function words. The common occurrence counts of the stylistic features be required to be normalized to the text long duration in an article for this study.
